About Us

We were founded in 2025, Harling Support – Empowering Independence, Supporting Families.

Harling Support is a compassionate care service dedicated to supporting individuals with sight impairments and families caring for a loved one in need of extra help. Our aim is to promote independence, boost confidence, and provide practical, day-to-day support that truly makes a difference. We work closely with people who are visually impaired, helping them access activities and services that support their wellbeing. This includes assistance getting to and from the gym, swimming sessions, school, and important appointments. We understand that tasks like travel and navigating unfamiliar environments can be challenging with sight loss, and our team is here to make those experiences safe, stress-free, and enjoyable. We believe that everyone deserves the chance to stay active, connected, and involved in their community. That’s why our support is always tailored to each individual’s needs and preferences. Whether it’s guiding someone through a busy leisure centre, offering support in the school environment, or simply being a reassuring presence at a hospital appointment, we are committed to offering friendly, reliable help at every step. Alongside this one-to-one support, Harling Support also works with families who care for someone with additional needs. We know how demanding and emotionally challenging this role can be. Our team offers both practical help and a listening ear—whether that means giving carers a well-earned break, helping with transport and routines, or providing reassurance and guidance during difficult times. We take pride in building strong, trusting relationships with both the individuals we support and their families. Our staff are carefully trained, compassionate, and committed to creating a safe, respectful, and empowering environment, supporting them to live life as fully and independently as possible.
